Open Day 2025

On Saturday 7th June 2025 LLandudno Sailing Club will be holding their annual open day starting at 10:00 am until approximately 4:00pm depending on demand.

The idea of the day is to give members of the public the opportunity to take a look at the club and to find out what the club has to offer. There will be club members around to answer any questions that you may have about becoming a member.

For non-sailors there will be an opportunity to be taken out on the water by experienced helmsmen and shown the ropes (sorry for the pun, bring some clothing you don’t mind getting wet). They will explain what is going on and how to set the sails. They will talk you through what a tack and gybe is and how to sail upwind. You never know, if the conditions are right, you may even be given a go at helming. If the day sparks an interest ask about the upcoming RYA training sessions.

Not just for adults.

The club would really like to introduce juniors to sailing (age 8 and above) as they are the future of the club. On the day they will be given the same opportunities as the adults.

If they would like to get into the sport the club would like to create a pathway into sailing for them. With coaching sessions by qualified RYA trainers. If you don’t have a boat the club has boats that members can hire for a nominal fee once you are competent.
